Chad is an innovative engineer and tenacious problem solver who develops creative, thoughtful, and reliable solutions.  He has that rare ability to draw out customer needs and formulate products that are on target.

Chad is a mechanical engineer who brings nearly 15 years of direct experience in product design, development, and deployment to Dynovis.  He is an imaginative thinker, innovative creator, adaptive learner, and unapologetic believer that successful product design is equal parts desirability, practicality, and achievability.

Chad has experience with and passion for being engaged in the entire spectrum of a product’s development and deployment, from working alongside industrial designers on concept artwork and 3D-printed prototypes to leading product commercialization efforts such as technical marketing
material generation, brand identity development, user experience refinement, and sales force training.

Chad is a Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) who is a confident and skillful solid modeler. He is also experienced in computer-based analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).  He has utilized and applied this knowledge to designing and analyzing an array of expeditionary equipment solutions, as well as other commercial and military products being deployed in harsh environments where concerns such as shock impact, sustained vibration, liquid and dust ingress, destructive corrosion, and EMI emission and susceptibility must all be considered and overcome.

At HDT Global, Chad served as lead engineer on multiple projects, including the design, development, and analysis of a fresh air intake and collective protection (COLRPO) filtration system for the US Army’s Ground Combat Vehicle (GCV). At Breeze-Eastern Corporation, Chad led design and development efforts around new products for a family of advanced, sensor-based products focused on increasing the safety and effectiveness of helicopter search and rescue (SAR) missions.

Complimentary to his talents as an engineer are Chad’s accomplishments as graphic designer.  Most notably, he has worked with a local Richmond restaurant to start a cocktail menu design program that has since been recognized by USA Today, Tales of the Cocktail, and several other local and regional publications.
